From Elizabeth Thomas -

From the microfilm, Zacharie Villepontoux is not the parent of our Pierre. It is Etienne Villepontoux who is the father of Pierre, & it is probably Zacharie Villepontoux who is the father of Etienne Villepontoux. Also, am not sure if Zacharie was married more than once.

Note on Child 1: Pierre VILLEPONTOUX

Can not find the marriage in the extant Bergerac Registers, but we are missing 1683.

Pierre emigrated to London & signed denization papers on 04 Mar 1690/1; King gave royal consent & signed the denization papers on 24 Dec 1691; emigrated to New York in Apr 1692 & moved to New Rochelle, Westchester, New York; Before Jan 1694 he moved to St. James Parish, Goose Creek, South Carolina. He was a lawyer. (Source Elizabeth Thomas)
