The Working Christian, Issue of November 10, 1881, page 121

Isaac R. Timmons died at his residence in Marion County, S. C.,

October 17th, 1881, after a protracted illness of heart disease in his

74th year. He leaves an aged wife and four sons and daughters of

mature age. He was baptized August, 1832, by the Rev. J. Morgan

Timmons, and received in the fellowship of Elim Church. he was one of

the constituent members of Hebron Church at its organization in 1840.

Chesterfield district South Carolina - One for Mr William Harman from

Beaufort district South Carolina - One for Mr. Jackey Perry and one

for Mr. James Clanton from Kershaw district, and One for Mr. John Ware

from Fairfield district South Carolina - One for Mr. James Lang from

the county of Jefferson in this State - One for Mr. Naaman Smart from

Beaufort district South Carolina - One for Mr. John McRae, with his

wife, four children, his mother, two Sisters and Nine negroes - and

One for Messrs. Reddick Connell and Daniel Martin the former with his

wife and one child, and the latter with three Negroes all from the

County of Scriven in this State.

Departed this life, on Sunday, April 1st, 1877, after a short but

painful illness, Mrs. Mary A. Burch, consort of J. B. Burch, and

daughter of Isaac R. and M. A. Timmons, aged 29 years. At the age of

11 years, Mrs. Burch united with the Hebron Baptist Church, at

Friendfield, in Marion county, S. C., then under the pastoral care of

Rev. John Weaver... Mrs. Burch leaves an aged mother and father, a

devoted husband, affectionate brothers and sisters, and a little

infant... P. M. T.
