George Myers (1773-1816) married Mary Harrell and together they came up Lynches river to a place then called Anderson Bridge (present day Florence County). George’s brother, James Myers (c1772-?) may have also settled in this area, but definite documentation has not been found on his whereabouts.

Middle name from "A Survey of Cemeteries in Lower Florence County" Vol II page 4. The birth date matches

however, her death is listed as one month later.

Note on Child 7: George James MYERS

A George James Myers (1816-1893), was listed in the "The Last Foray" with owning a large Plantation on River Road along the Pee Dee and 112 slaves. Like his father he also married a Harrell.

Later descendants of this line lived in the large Bigham house.
