The fourth is a boy, born Tuesday, 7th December, at 10 O'Clock in the morning, in the house of Maptica. Baptised in the house

at Pumpkin Hill, Mr. Prioleau, minister, on Monday, 3rd January, 1698; Mr. Blanchar and wife, Grandfather and Grandmother; and

was named Francis --- Francis had issue but are now extinct.

p. 43. Josias Allston m. May 26, 1752 Esther Simons who d. Feb. 19, 1753. She was dau. of Francis Simons and Ann his wife. One child was Mary Stead Allston, b. 1773, m. Daniel DuPre. They had three children:

1. Daniel, b, Oct. 16, 1793, m. 1815 Sarah Margaret Hibben,

Mt. Pleasant, S. C. Had children.

2. Mary DuPre m. James J. B. White of S. C. One son d. in Philadelphia.

3. Rebecca DuPre m, James Edward Jerman and had four children:

a. Edward DuPre Jernam m. Cornelia Keptstein of Winchester, Va,

b. Dr, Thomas Palmer Jennan, a prominent citizen and practitioner of

Ridgeway, N. C. (Note; Warren Co., N. C.). He m. Lucy Beverly Sydnor

of Mecklenburg (Co), Va., and had six children.

c. Allston Cahusac m, Louis Klepstein of Wincester, Va.

d. Mary DuPre m. Dr. John Y. DuPre. No surviving issue.
