A typed copy of the will of Samuel SIMONS Senior has the children listed with no comma between Samuel and and his brother

Henry (Charleston Will Book PP 1757-60). That seems to be the source of Samuel Junior's middle name sometimes being listed

as Henry. However, the will says five children and in order for the names to be five children, Samuel and Henry must be 2 different

children.

The will of Samuel DuPree SIMONS, Sr. sg.2 April 1759, pr. 6 July 1759 (Page 222 Book PP for 1757-60 Charleston Co., SC) has his

son Samuel listed as Junior and to have the plantation next to Samuel Smith. Also lists William Cleland as Grandson (Is this

the child of sister Magdalen SIMONS and a Cleland?).

Benjamin SIMONS, Samuel's brother, seems to have had land on Lynches River,

Will Book QQ 1760-1767, William Cleiland, d. 8 Sep 1760, Exors include Samuel SIMONS.

One claim is that this Mary SIMMONS is a French Huguenot from North Carolina.
