They were sons of the George and Mary (Turner) Timmons, a Quaker family of

County Armagh, Ireland. Sisters; Sarah, Mary and Ann. It appears that the

girls all remained in Ireland.

Will written 3 May 1760 (Book JJ) lists four children by first wife. Then lists executors as his wife Mary Anne SIMONS and also John, Richard and Sarah when they come of age. However, SC Magazine of Ancestral Research, Vol 5,#1-4, 1675-1858 has a marriage of Richard TIMMONS to Mary Ann HOLDEN on 30 Mar 1744.
