Warner has him listed as James Washington Cockfield (b. 3/4/1844) with no other given name. Previously had middle initial as W., but Donali notes it is 'Washington', b. WMB Dist, (1880 and 1900 census shows 2 wives, and I do not have the 3rd one listed, but would be interested to know more.) As I have it, James W. Cockfield is the son of Josiah W. Cockfield, b. 1818, d. 1846. (Winyah Observer obits.) m. 11/13/1851 Darlington Dist., Rosanna Timmons (her 2nd m.)daughter of William Timmons and Sarah Perkins Myers. (Winyah Observer issue 11/19/1851 gives her previous marriage) Also have him listed as J.W. Cockfield, Twenty-sixth SCV, Vol. 7, page 66, U.D.C
