Rev. Mack Alexander

SWANSEA - Services for Rev. Mack B. Alexander, 72, Swansea, will be held at 3pm Friday at New Hope Worship Center, Gaston. Rev. Rusty Trotter, Rev. H. Larry Jones, Rev. James W. McKenzie, and Rev. Gerald Fitch will officiate. The family will receive friends from 6-9pm Thursday at Thompson Funeral Home of Lexington. Memorials may be made to New Hope Worship Center or to St. Paul Pentecostal Holiness Church.

Rev. Alexander died Tuesday, March 30, 2004. Born in Florence, he was the son of the late McLaurin and Bertie Flowers Alexander. He attended St. Paul Pentecostal Holiness Church and New Hope Worship Center. He was a member of the S.C. International Pentecostal Holiness Conference and was retired from the ministry.

Surviving are his wife, Lucille Evans Alexander of Swansea; daughters and sons-in-law, Mary and Petey Bailey, Linda and Leon Sharpe, all of Swansea; sons and daughter-in-law, Oral Larry and Vicky Alexander of Swansea, Marvin Scott Alexander of Myrtle Beach; sisters, Mary Plass of Florence, Betty Joe Timmons of Scranton, Dixie Shaner of Effingham, Joyce Ard of Murrells Inlet, Linda Poston of Johnsonville; brothers, Lurie Alexander, Jr. of Surfside Beach, Charles Alexander of Pamplico, Rev. John Alexander of Charleston, Rev. Nelson Alexander of Florence; grandchildren, Brandie Bailey, Dustin Bailey, Travis Sharpe, McKenzie Alexander, Jordan Alexander, Buddy Alexander, and Anna Alexander. Rev. Alexander was predeceased by his brother, James Alexander; sister, Josephine Alexander and an infant sister.
