p. 166. Jan. 20, 1817. My brother James is in town making preparations for his nuptials. His intended wife, Mary Dupre, and her sister Rebecka with Miss Perdro are in town also. The 15th inst. is the time appointed for their union. (Note #17 - Mary Dupre was b. Oct. 16, 1798. Ref: Webber op. cit. XXXVI (1935), p. LS, J. A. Mary Dupre is the daughter of (Samuel) Dupre and (Mary Stead) Allston, (sister of Benjn. Allston Senr of Waccamaw) and My Wife's Aunt. Their father and Mother having died when they were children Col'n Sam'l Warren, their Executor and Guardian, educated and brought them up well, that now they reflect honor on one another, and afford each other mutual happiness and comfort. With a handsome property, my Brother by this Union will acquire a most amiable wife.

p. 172. Apr. 11- Set out the 19th for Georgetown, called at Sandridge, my Brother's place; found him and Mary well; spent a day.
