Ezekiel TIMMONS was said to have come originally from Somerset County. He shows up in land deeds in Sussex Co., DE in the 1760s or so. In 1798, he deeded his properties, Fortitude, Happiness, Pea Hill, Cannon's Lott and Brown's Hog Range to his son Ezekiel with half of Pea Hill and Happiness going to son John. John deeded his property to brother Ezekiel in 1804. Ezekiel married an unknown woman, believed by some to be Nicey MORRIS d/o Robert Morris. He had one son, believed to be Robert Morris Timmons, and a daughter, possibly Twilley Timmons , who are listed but not named in the 1800 Sussex Co. Census. Son John E. was b. 1811 and Ezekiel was b. 1813. John E. married Mary Ellen SMITH d/o George and Rachel JONES SMITH. Rachel was the daughter of Jacob S. and Mary Jones. Ezekiel (b. 1813) married Levinia KING, daughter of Southy and Elizabeth JARMAN King. Sothey was the son of Caldwell King while Elizabeth was the d/o Joshua and Esther Timmons Jarman. Esther was the daughter of Matthias Timmons. Does any one have documentation proving the name of the eldest Ezekiel's wife or who his parents were? They lived near the border of Sussex and Worcester Counties near Lowes Crossroads. Anyone able to help me, please e-mail me directly, since I am unable to get on line much to check the sites currently. Thanking you in advance.
