SUMTER - Memorial services for Creola Timmons DuBose, 87, will be held at 11 a.m. today, March 20, 2001 at the chapel of Bullock Funeral Home. A private burial will be held in Evergreen Memorial Park Cemetery. Memorials may be made to The First Presbyterian Church Capital Funds Campaign, 9 West Calhoun, Sumter, SC 29150.
Mrs. DuBose, wife of the late Allen M. DuBose, died Sunday, March 18, 2001 in Tuomey Healthcare Systems of Sumter. Born in Cowards, she was the daughter of the late Claude A. and Sara Rebecca Finklea Timmons. She was a retired first grade schoolteacher from Alice Drive Elementary School She was a member of First Presbyterian Church.
Surviving are daughters, Julieanne D. Hogg and husband, Walter, of Sumter, Sara D. Cook and husband, Robert, of Salisbury, N.C., Libba D. Johnson and husband, Jordy, of Sumter; grandchildren, Eleanor Hogg Garrett, Sara Beth Hogg Hasbrouck, Allen DuBose Cook, John Robert Cook, Rebecca Johnson and Elizabeth Johnson; great-grandchildren, Christopher Cook, Carter Cook, John Walter Garrett and Rachel Garrett. She was preceded in death by a sister, Claudia Timmons and brothers, Thad A. Timmons Hebert A. Timmons and Charles A. Timmons.
