WILL OF
JOHN BURNETT

In the name of god amen, I John Burnett of the State of South
Carolina Marion District finding myself declining But of
sound memory but knowing it is appointed once to Dye do make
make this my Last will and Testament first of all I recommend
my soul to god that gave it & trust he will receive the same
again, my Body to be buryed in a Chistian Manner by my Exe-
cutors & as to what worldly Goods it hath pleas,d god to be-
stoe upon me I dispose of in the following manner Viz, - - -
it is my disire that all my just debts be paid - - - - - - -
Item, it is my Desire that my part of the mills on jefferson's
Creek & all the Land which I hold above willow Creek on the
sowt side of s.d jeffersons/creek should be sold at the Discression
of my Executors with all the utentials belonging to the mills
and such other of my property as they my Executors Shall se
proper to Sell to discharge my Lawful Debts,- - - - - - - -
Item, I Lend unto my beloved wife my Plantation & //////riding /////Chair>
///one ///////Feather ///bed /& /////////furniture Tracts of Land whereon I know
Live, on the s.w.side of jeffersons Creek below willow Creek
& the remains of my parishable property after my Lawful Debts
be paid Dureing her naturel Life, but the Land I above men-
tioned to be sold with the mill I intended to Lend unto my
daughter Catherine Dueitt During her natural Life & after her
Death to be equally Divided amongst the Lawful heirs begotton
of her own body, but if sold as above mentioned five hundred
Dollars Shall be procured out of my Estate by my Exor, at their
Discretion within the term of five years after my Death and
Laid out by them my Exor for Land to be lent to my Daughter
Catherine & given to her heirs as above Directed this money
to be procured before a Division of my Estate
Item, it is my Desire that my Daughter Penelope Timmons Shall
have the plantation or tract of Land that I now live on after
the Decease of my beloved wife to be hers and heirs forever,
Item it is my Desire that my Estate after the Decease of my
beloved wife Should be Equally Divided among my four Children

Lastly I Constitute & appoint Rebeckka Burnett, Turner Bryan,
& Simeon Timmons Executors & Executrix to this my Last will
and Testament in Confirmation of Which I have hereunto inter-
changably Set my hand & Seal this 11th Day of may 1811
