Notes for Martha BRABANT
Martha Brabant is the Aunt of Benjamin SIMONS b. 1672 in France. Martha and her husband found and adopted Benjamin in England after all his family had been killed in France. Benjamin later married Martha's daughter Mary Esther DuPRE (his cousin).
Martha's Maiden name is from "Historic Ramlin's Through Berkley, Middleburg Plantation - The Benjamin Simons Family" by Russell W. Cross (via Joe Lee, one of their descendants) and " Gaillard Genealogy ", by Dorothy Kell McDowell, The R. L. BryanCompany, Columbia, South Carolina, 1974, Page 129.

John Cantzon Foster has her name as Martha LAMAR. Some have it as Martha SIMONS.
