Zecharia was a well known builder and made most of the bricks for St. Michael's Church, Charlestown, SC.

Zachary Villepontoux was a builder, and made "excellent brick" which was
used to build St. Michael's church in Charleston. (p. 48)
Pompion Hill Chapel was designed and built by Zecharia. His initials are carved into the bricks on the sides of both doors.St.
