Notes for George TIMMONS
While residing in Hampshire County VA, he enlisted in 1780 in Col. Glen's Virginia Regiment. In Febuary 1780, he was captured at Black River and held prisioner at Cheraw Hills. He later rejoined his company near Hillsborough. He fought in the seige of Yorktown and was present at the surrender of Cornwallis. He later moved to Merver County Kentucky and then to Hopkins County Kentucky.
