MONROE TIMMONS
Funeral services for Monroe Hampton Timmons, 79, will be held at 2 p.m. today, Feb. 6, 2004, at Swift Creek Baptist Church. The Revs. Peter Rivera and Rodger Martin will officiate with entombment in Darlington Memory Gardens directed by Brown–Pennington–Atkins Funeral Home. Memorials may be made to the Swift Creek Baptist Church, 413 N. Center Rd., Hartsville, SC 29550 or Hospice of the Pee Dee, 555 E. Cheves, Florence, SC 29506.
Mr. Timmons died Tuesday, Feb. 3. Born in Florence, he was a son of the late Wallie Clarence and Louise White Timmons. He was a member of Swift Creek Baptist Church and was owner and operator of Timmons Mini Mart. He served in the U. S. Navy during World War II and was a member of the American Legion and the VFW.Ę
Surviving are his wife, Frances Hall Timmons of Hartsville; sons and daughter–in–law, Dan Timmons and Don and Lori Timmons, all of Hartsville; daughters, Ann Timmons and Pam Yates, both of Hartsville; sister and brother–in–law, Pearl and H. B. Hunt of Hartsville; brothers, Harold Timmons and Charles Timmons, both of Darlington; grandchildren and spouses, Christopher Timmons, Summer Timmons, Donna and Shawn Laurie, Donnie Timmons, Jamie Timmons, Nikki and Kevin Moore, Robert Little, Denny and Angie Ashby; eight great–grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his son, Ricky Timmons.
