Watson Moore bought the home tract of the family plantation from his uncle Benjamin Moore on May 12, 1877 for $75. It contained 87 acres of land and was located on Pine Bay waters of Black River in Williamsburg County, South Carolina. Today this site is owned by Darla Moore.
